“Bullfrog” is song 11 off of the album In The Shadow of The Mountain written by Ivan Wentzel and Issac Wentzel, and the song is completely different from any other song that you can find on that album. This song is inspired heavily on the old bluegrass country music genre and follows that idea through the satiric lyrics and good feeling music.

Lyrics

“Bullfrog”
Headed down to Memphis with a guitar on my back
Everything I own is in an old gunny sack
Gonna find me a girl that can cook some collard greens
Maybe if I'm lucky she’ll wash my old blue jeans
Won't you catch a bullfrog, throw ‘em in a pan
Run down a rabbit as fast as you can
Work all day, play all night
When the morning comes you'll be feeling alright
There is a place where we can stay
Won't you stay, won't you stay
We’ll waste our sweet lives away
That midnight to Memphis only runs nine to five
If you brought your walking shoes, baby we can stroll all night
Won't you catch a bullfrog, throw ‘em in a pan
Run down a rabbit as fast as you can
Work all day, play all night
When the morning comes you'll be feeling alright
There is a place where we can stay
Won't you stay, won't you stay
We’ll waste our sweet lives away
Catch a bullfrog, throw ‘em in a pan
Run down a rabbit as fast as you can
Work all day, play all night
When the morning comes you'll be feeling alright
When the morning comes and you ain't already gone
I'll be ‘sittin here just a’singing my song
One bare foot and size ten shoe
That frog done stole my tobacco chew
Chubby ol’ rabbit can't run too fast
Three or four hops and he's already gasses
You run to fast and you slip in the grass
You fall right over and you bust your
