Do it Again is a Jammin Southern Rock song by The Wentzel Brothers Band. The song was written in 2016 and featured contributions by the entire band. The Track was then reworked and rerecorded in 2020 for a more radio friendly sound.The Lyrics of Do it again are based on real life experience growing up and being involved in a small tight knit community on the banks of the Duck River.
The Wentzel Brothers Band was formed in Chapel hill Tn, in 2015 and the river was already a big part of the boys' life by the time they even began playing music. In a Small town like Chapel Hill, there wasn't much to do for fun.There are no Movie theaters to speak of, no skating rink, or music Venues , so unless you are really interested in High school sports, you might often find yourself on the bank of the river with a couple neighbors who know how to enjoy more than a couple cold ones. There is a canoe rental company owned by David Pinrod named Duck Canoe. The objective of the company is to make money by shuttling people to the boat ramp on Milltown road. That is where they are dropped with a canoe for a relaxing, 5 mile boat ride to The Howlin Hill Campground. Ivan and Issac both made many great life memories working for David for several years.
Howlin Hill Campground is home to legendary Howlin Hill River Stage. The stage was made out of weathered wood pulled from the river. This Masterpiece is built in a beautiful natural ampitheater with its back to The Duck River.Coleman Micheals is the owner of the property. Coleman has been extremely supportive of The Wentzel Brothers ever since they started on their musical journey. He allowed the band to play shows at his awesome venue when the boys were just getting started and they will always be grateful for that.The original version of the track was released in 2016 as a part of the bands second full length album In the Shadow of The Mountain.The tracks were recorded and mixed at Sound Revival Studio. The song was actually named by fans at a bar in Spring Hill during a show. After playing the song for the first time, Issac Do it Again is really a song that remembers and pays respects to someWentzel asked the crowd what they thought the song name should be. The crowd promptly replied with "Do it Again!"(probably because that is the most prominent lyric in the song. Jacob newcomb then replied " Do it Again? Sure!" and he started preparing himself to start the song over, glowing with pride. Then the crowd quickly corrected the boys by yelling", No the song name!"
